To the Editor:

In District three, I can think of no candidate other than Cheryl Thibeault who balances the right experience, creativity, and optimism that good leaders possess. For those of you who don’t know Cheryl and do a quick search, you will find that not only is she the chair of the Board of Finance for Bristol, but that she is a controller for Community Solutions with a very extensive resume in accounting in management.

However, Cheryl is much more than that; and I think it is important to share that fact. In order to succeed in her professional life, Cheryl has a combination of characteristics and qualities that we need in a city councilor. In her “free time,” Cheryl is a youth leader at her church, as well as a Sunday school teacher, where she mentors youth and provides sound guidance while participating in fun group activities and community service.

In the past, Cheryl has volunteered her time where she worked on the Green-Hills School and Fire Building #4 committees, both of which were successful projects. Further, Cheryl has also served as a PTA officer and a Girl Scout Leader.

In addition to these roles, Cheryl also sits on the Chamber of Commerce committee that brought the duck race and duck parade to our city.

In every capacity, Cheryl has provided sound leadership with an analytical problem solving approach while working with her other team members to ensure that conversation transformed into action.

The fact is that Cheryl has been a positive and pervasive leader in our community. She has provided input on numerous important projects within our city and has done extensive research and taken creative action to make sure the team could get the job done.

Cheryl has a record of accomplishment of positive and effective leadership while always maintaining her sense of responsibility and accountability. Cheryl is an advocate for all things Bristol since she moved here from her hometown of Saco, Maine and this city needs leaders like her.

Cheryl’s vision is about developing our city responsibly and I know that she is one of the few that could accomplish just that. On Nov. 7, I encourage you to vote for the candidate that can make the difference, Cheryl Thibeault in Row B!
