To the Editor:

What does The Mills Commission, The Kefarver Committee, The McCarthy Committee, The Warren Commission, The Watergate Committee, and The 911 Committee have in common? They were all Congressional screw-ups.

Our Congress cannot run a fair and impartial investigation. Any one who thinks so probably still believes that Abner Doubleday invented baseball and Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone when he killed JFK.

We now have an independent investigator to look into the possible Russian influence in our elections. The only reason is so that Congressional Democrats will be able to point a finger at Donald Trump whether or not he did anything illegal.

Back in the year 2001 after The US Supreme Court ended the recounts in Florida, they sent representatives to Tallahassee and did hand recounts of the entire state of Florida hopping to stick it to George W. Bush. I saw the totals published in The Miami Herald. President Bush 43 officially won Florida when the court stepped in by approximately 530 votes.

When all the votes were counted he won by approximately 1665 votes. When the Democrats found out that Bush really did win Florida, they hushed it up.

Their followers claimed erroneously that the Supreme Court appointed Bush as president. The Democrats haven’t changed a bit.
