To the Editor:

I have lived in Bristol all my life. I live at 144 Stafford Ave. and have lived there for 45 years. Approximately one year ago, the home at 132 Stafford Ave. was sold to people who rent out the home to the state as a group home. This home is next door to me.

The grounds of this home has not been taken care of. The grass is 2 feet high and growing. There is trash all around the home because the recycle barrels are either not adequate and/or get blown over and the trash goes all over the yard.

I do not know how the inside of the home is, but if the outside is an indicator, it must be neglected also.

If I had a special needs person, I would not have them at this place.

I would hope that the city of Bristol or the state of Connecticut could conduct an inspection of the facilities to make sure all is up to standard.
