To the Editor:

A few days ago an editorial from The Washington Post appeared in The Bristol Press about the U. S. Postal Service needing more than a Band Aid.

I believe it’s about time we did eliminated the USPS. That has been a money loser ever since it was founded in 1775.

Private companies can do a more efficient job of delivering the first class mail.

Congress would have to repeal the law that says that only the federal government can transport first class mail.

UPS, and Fedex, and maybe new companies can be formed that would work more efficiently. The private companies can probable send our first class mail for less money but at leased we will know that it will be competitively priced.
