ROUNDUP: Milardo remains dominant as St. Paul softball cruises past Plainville

PLAINVILLE - St. Paul pitcher Alessandra Milardo turned in another dominating performance, striking out 12 Plainville batters while allowing just four hits in a 21-2, five-inning victory at Plainville High on Friday afternoon.

Milardo also went 5-for-5 at the plate with a double and four RBI in the game as the Falcons improved to 2-0.

Brooke Perez added three hits for St. Paul, as did Janessa Gonzalez, who doubled and tripled. Katelynn Ouelette also hit a double.

After a three-run first inning, the Falcons busted the game open with 12 runs in the second inning and had 20 hits in the game. Kya Broughton took the loss for Plainville, which fell to 0-2 for the season.

The Blue Devils scored single runs in the third and fifth innings.
