Hospital of Central Connecticut has small rise in COVID-19 patients; Hartford HealthCare has sizable drops in all areas

NEW BRITAIN – A day after seeing a drop of five COVID-19 patients, Hospital of Central Connecticut added two to its total Friday. The New Britain hospital is currently treating 20 coronavirus patients, with another 37 that are under investigation for the virus but haven’t received a positive test result. The latter number remained the same.

As of Friday, Hartford HealthCare has 381 patients that are COVID-19 positive, a drop of 14 from the past day, and 53 over the past two days.

There are 160 patients that are COVID positive in Hartford HealthCare’s acute facilities with another 197 under investigation. That represents a drop of six patients in acute facilities and seven under investigation.

There are 219 total patients under investigation in the Hartford HealthCare system, a drop of 20.
