Voter turnout steady at Bristol, New Britain polling places

Polls opened at 6 a.m. in Connecticut and so far voter turnout has been steady locally.

In Bristol, officials reported that 18,348 out of 35,016 register voters had cast a ballot, which is a 52.38% voter turnout.

In Southington, as of 3 p.m., 13,040 people have voted, which is 44.96% voter turnout.

In Plainville, as of 2:30 p.m., 4,427 out of 11,000 voters have come out. That is a 40% voter turnout so far.

Check back throughout the evening for updated results. Polls close at 8 p.m.
