SOUTHINGTON - Eleven people were sent to the hospital Tuesday with minor injuries after the van they were in was involved in a car accident.

Police Wednesday morning said they responded to the crash at about 1:50 p.m., at the intersection of West Street and Executive Boulevard.

According to police, a passenger van struck another vehicle, causing the second vehicle to hit a third car.

Eleven people inside the van went to an area hospital for minor injuries, police said.

No one in the other two vehicles reported any injuries.

The driver of the van, Oladapo Balogun, was issued an infraction for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
