BRISTOL - Enterprise Holdings Foundation has awarded a grant of $1,500 to the Boys & Girls Club of Bristol Family Center to underwrite the E (Entrepreneurial) Program at their Cambridge Park Clubhouse.

Located within Public Housing, the club's Cambridge Park Clubhouse serves over 90 youth each day who live in the community. The E-Program will teach teens at the club basic skills they would need to repair their home or apartment.

Using a series of mocked up frames called "learning walls,” members in the program will learn how to repair and replace sheet rock, fix minor electrical problems, paint the interior of their homes, fix minor plumbing problems and learn how to use a variety of tools.

The program's goal is to create a work environment that will prepare its members for life's challenges and give them the confidence to pursue ventures that are foreign to them. The E-Program will provide members with skills that will enhance their abilities to be productive and reliable members of a structured, positive workplace.

"Boys & Girls Club of Bristol is truly committed to educating tomorrow's workforce and we salute them for that focus. Enterprise is committed to the Bristol Community and looks forward to continuing this worthwhile partnership with the club. It is so important to provide job training to our youth and prepare them for future. It is our pleasure to support the Boys & Girls Club of Bristol," stated Mike Ewart, Business Rental Sales Executive, and Regional Office.

Boys & Girls Club of Bristol Family Center has provided services to children and families in the Greater Bristol area for over 108 years. Serving over 50,000 children and their families each year, the organization mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

Our longstanding programs are enhanced by the innovative and highly effective programs provided by Imagine Nation, A Museum Early Learning Center.
