NEW BRITAIN -McDonald’s is now available for delivery in New Britain, Berlin and Newington through UberEATS.

“We are excited to bring a new level of convenience and personalization to our customers in Connecticut with UberEATS,” said Scott Taylor, McDonald’s owner/operator and president of the Connecticut and Western Massachusetts McDonald’s Owner/Operator Association, in a statement.

“Our customers have told us they enjoy experiencing McDonald’s in new ways, and we look forward to offering more ways to enjoy their favorite menu items,” he said.

UberEATS is Uber’s meal delivery app and is available globally in more than 70 cities, making it easy for hungry customers to order food at the tap or click of a button.

The fast-food chain also announced that restaurants in 19 other Connecticut towns will offer delivery.

Customers can place their orders on the UberEATS mobile app or on using the same account they use to take Uber rides. They can track their order in real time and it will come directly to wherever they are.

An UberEATS fee is applied to each order.

UberEATS launched in Connecticut last August in the Stamford and New Haven areas.

Other local restaurants currently using the app include Wood-N-Tap (Newington), Rooster Co. (Newington) and Wing It On (New Britain).
