BRISTOL - The Central Connecticut Chamber of Commerce will be holding its 128th Annual Awards Dinner next month to recognize individuals and organizations that have worked to benefit the community.
President and CEO of the Chamber Cindy Scoville explained many individuals and organizations will be awarded for going beyond their civic duties to make Bristol a better place.
“The award winners are embedded in the community, in addition to always benefitting it,” said Scoville. “We want a thriving community to live, work and raise a family, and that’s what these award winners have worked towards.”
The award winners include Tom Morrow, John Smith, John Lodovico, Webster Bank, The Exchange Club of Bristol and the Professional Young Visionaries of Tomorrow.
Awardees will be recognized for a variety of reasons that range from volunteering and community service to distinguished business.
Hall of Fame coach from the University of Connecticut Jim Calhoun, will be the featured speaker at the event which is set for June 15, at the Aqua Turf Club at 5 p.m. Tickets are $65 a person and will include a reception and auction.
Bristol Hospital, ESPN, Bank of America, Covanta, Main Street Community Foundation, The Ultimate Companies, Webster Bank, Farmington Bank, Thomaston Savings and Bank of America are all sponsoring the event.
