Forestville American Legion Post 209

BRISTOL – Forestville American Legion Post 209 announced a new raffle fundraiser, with prizes donated by Uncle Sam’s Painting, LLC.

Raffle tickets are $25 per ticket and 150 spots are available. The drawing will take place as soon as all spots are sold.

“We are doing a fundraiser to raise money for the post since we lost all of our fundraisers because of the coronavirus,” said Brian Avery, past commander of American Legion Post 209.

The following three prizes can be won: Painting of two rooms in one house, including ceilings, walls and trim. Prep, minor repairs and Sherman-Williams paint is included. This prize is a $1,200 value. Power washing one house, including eight hours of labor. No ladders over 16 feet. This prize is valued at $450. Two gallons of Sherman-Williams Emerald Paint, valued at $120.

To purchase a ticket, send money on Venmo to @Brian-Avery-19 or send money on PayPal to brianavery@sbscglobal.net. People are asked to provide their phone number along with their payment so Post 209 can contact winners.

People can also provide a check or cash payment by emailing Avery at brianavery@sbcglobal.net or contacting him through Facebook.

Prizes are only valid in Connecticut and for one year from the date of the drawing. Prizes can’t be transferred. Details will be coordinated between the winners and Dan Bailey of Uncle Sam’s Painting, LLC. The drawing will be recorded and posted on American Legion Post 209’s Facebook page and the winners will be notified.
