BRISTOL- This Friday Muzzy Field will be transformed into a wrestling ring for â€śWrestling Under the Stars.â€ť This is the first time in 30 years there will be wrestling at Muzzy Field.
The wrestling show beings at 8 p.m. There is a meet and greet starting at 4:30 p.m. that is free with a ticket, which are between $10 and $50. There are fees for autographs and pictures.
â€śIt will be an unforgettable evening of entertainment with friends and family,â€ť said Bristol Blues owner Bob Dabkowski in a press release. â€śWe encourage everyone to make it out and be a part of this fun and historic event.â€ť
Wrestlers such as Rey Mysterio, Kevin Nash, Ryback, Jack Swagger, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Wrecking Ball Lagurskey and Ron Zombie will be jumping into the ring. Kurt Adonis, a Bristol native who has been wrestling for several years, will also make a special appearance.
â€śItâ€™s a great family-style show ... and something that can appeal to all ages,â€ť said Mark Walerysiak Jr., who is helping coordinate the event for the Blues. â€śItâ€™s sports. Itâ€™s drama. Itâ€™s athletics.â€ť
There will be between seven and eight matches for audience members to enjoy. There will be â€śa little bit of everythingâ€ť with lots of â€śacrobatics and high-flying maneuvers,â€ť Walerysiak stated.
Wrestlers will take part in one-on-one, triple threat and tag team matches.
The Bristol Blues and Northeast Wrestling are co-sponsors of the event.
â€śNortheast is really coming through, itâ€™s going to be a truly memorable experience for people. The stars are aligned, and we couldnâ€™t be more excited,â€ť Walerysiak said.
There will also be some up and coming wrestlers looking to show off their talent.
The concession stand will be offering a variety of food, including San Gennaro pizza, drinks and alcoholic beverages. Ben and Jerryâ€™s of Connecticut will also be serving their ice cream.
Wrestling Under the Stars is touring around the northeast. They will be doing nine shows in six different states.
