I write in support of Emmanuel “Manny” Sanchez as New Britain state representative.

He has served the city’s interests well as an alderman for 10 years and will do so as state representative. Having worked with him in opposition to the city’s ill-conceived attempts to give away Patton Brook Well to Southington and to allow Tilcon to strip-mine protected watershed which would have negatively impacted New Britain’s and Southington’s water systems for generations, I saw the time and effort he put in opposing those important issues.

He put the city’s long term interests first and wasn’t blinded by the short term prospect of a few dollars in the city’s coffers. He’ll do the same as state representative.
