To the Editor:

I am looking for World War II photographs that used to be on the walls of the Nicholas Pappas Restaurant on School Street beginning in the 1940’s.

The 8”x10” framed photographs depicted the service men from Bristol during the second World War.

This restaurant changed hands several times becoming Par-Ow’s (owners, John Parulski and Frank Owsianko), Morey’s Restaurant (owner Francis Nicoletti) and later Patti’s Restaurant (owner Henry Benvenuto). The pictures, I believe, remained there until School Street was taken down for redevelopment.

If you know the whereabouts of these pictures please call George Sobestanovich at (860) 589-2284. I am hoping to preserve our local history and would like to donate these either to the Bristol Historical Society or the Bristol Memorial Military Museum.
