To the Editor:

Hello, I am Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz. I am very proud to endorse Andrew Rasmussen-Tuller for the 77th state representative district in Bristol.

Andrew is a lifelong Bristol resident and has been involved in the Bristol community. His background includes retail and manufacturing management and he works as a local realtor. Andrew has served on Bristol’s Economic and Community Development Board where he has been at the forefront of working on economic growth in the city and supporting its local businesses.

Andrew is a very impressive person. He is a graduate of Bristol Public Schools, works full-time and is currently a senior at Post University, where he is completing his bachelor’s degree. Andrew, and his husband Ken, also became Licensed Foster Parents through the Connecticut Department of Children & Families Foster and Adoptive licensing program back in 2015. And they have since adopted three young children who are now attending Bristol schools.

I am supporting Andrew not only because he is a caring and kindhearted individual, but because he has a plan to improve the economy in his district and throughout our state, strengthen our public education system and ensure healthcare is accessible and affordable.

I ask you to join me in supporting Andrew because he shares our values and priorities. You can count on him to protect reproductive health care and fight for pay equity for women. And he will be a strong advocate for our seniors and veterans. The legislature also needs his voice to end gun violence and opioid addiction.

Susan Bysiewicz

Lt. Gov. of Connecticut
