To The Editor:

Erin Stewart says she’s running for lieutenant governor because Republicans in Connecticut can’t win with “two white men” on the ticket. Talk about the worst kind of identity politics! That’s a statement right out of the Democrats’ playbook. Memo to Erin: It makes no difference what your age is, it’s what you stand for, and what you can be trusted to do. Gender and race don’t qualify you for anything.

And did you happen to notice that Republicans did endorse women for both attorney general and secretary of the state?
