BRISTOL - For almost 20 years, the caring staff of the Bristol Radiology Center has been helping patients get the information they need.
The Bristol Radiology Center was founded 19 years ago in partnership with Bristol Hospital and Radiologic Associates, allowing the hospital to offer some of their services in an outpatient setting.
People can make appointments at the center, located at 25 Collins Road, for interventional radiology, diagnostic radiology, MRI and CT scans, women’s imaging, ultrasound, bone density scans, nuclear medicine, digital X-ray and fluoroscopy and vertebroplasty services. Patients are also able to walk-in for general X-ray services.
Steve Cote, manager at Bristol Radiology Center, attributes part of the center’s success to its “great staff.”
“They are friendly and concerned with patients’ care and well being,” said Cote. “They try their best to make it a pleasant experience. Nobody likes to go for testing, but with us can be in and out, depending on your needs, rather than always having to go to the hospital. If we determine that your condition does require hospitalization, we will tell you so.”
The Bristol Radiology Center features cutting edge technology, including a 3-D mammography unit which gives more precise imaging, an open MRI tunnel with more horizontal space for larger or claustrophobic patients and digital X-ray machines which use the lowest doses of X-rays possible.
The mission statement on the Bristol Radiology Center’s website, bristolrad.com, states: “As medical technology evolves, we are committed to providing the most up-to-date technology and procedures to diagnose and treat our patients.”
Additionally, all radiologists at Bristol Radiology Center are certified by the state as well as the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. The practice and its equipment are accredited by the American College of Radiology.
Bristol Radiology Center is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.
