BRISTOL - Starting in September, Fontaine Mechanical is offering a free home heating and safety inspection with a donation to the Bristol Boys & Girls Club.
The promotion applies to the first 50 customers who donate $20 or more to the Bristol Boys & Girls Club. Bill Fontaine, owner of Fontaine Mechanical at 75 Pleasant Ave., said that he decided to support the Bristol Boys & Girls Club because he “believes in what they are doing.”
“They are great for the kids of Bristol,” said Fontaine. “We believe that supporting them is a worthwhile cause and that people should get involved in and be willing to help their community. This promotion is a win, win, win.”
Steve Benham, service manager with Fontaine Mechanical, said that today’s mechanical systems are “very precise instruments” and that they should be serviced regularly.
“Ignoring them can lead to fires, carbon monoxide poisoning and efficiency loss,” said Benham. “When equipment isn’t calibrated correctly it consumes fuel in less efficient ways. A good tune-up can save you money and make your home safer. When we go in, we look for electrical components that show signs of malfunctioning. Many of them start to show signs of wear before they completely break. Some of these signs include high amperage readings, burn marks and electrical erosion.”
Fontaine Mechanical also provides full heating and air conditioning installations as well as furnaces, boilers and water heaters.
“People don’t want to wait on comfort,” said Fontaine. “We provide instant response and same-day installations. When you call us, a real person will always be ready to answer. We hire good, clean-cut guys who you can feel safe welcoming into your home. We give the customer what they want, at a good value for the dollar.”
Fontaine added that Fontaine Mechanical has been in Bristol for 15 years and has steadily grown to 15 employees.
“We try to hire local people,” Fontaine added.
