Name: Colleen Clark

Candidate for office: Board of Education

Town: Southington

Party: Republican

Years on Board of Education: 10

Goal if elected: “My biggest goal is to get the budget under control. When it comes to cutting teachers or programs, I will always keep teachers that provide our children with their necessary education. When we cut Middle School sports, parents had a common goal and they got together and found ways to get it funded. I don’t understand why our legislators can’t do that.”

Message to voters: “I hope you continue to support me because I will continue to listen. I don’t talk a lot at meetings because I like to listen and not just hear myself talk. But, if I have questions, I will ask them. I have changed my mind and I will do it publically if I made a mistake. I hope that my re-election for the past 10 years is some indication that the people have confidence in me and know that I am willing to put in the hard work.”
