Central Connecticut State menâ€™s basketball has added towering big man Abdul Momoh to the program for the upcoming 2021-22 season.
Momoh is the eighth incoming player to join the Blue Devils since head coach Patrick Sellers took over.
Momoh is a 6-foot-7 forward from Carteret, New Jersey. He prepped at the famed Patrick School last season and attended the Timothy Christian School for his senior season. During his senior season at Timothy Christian, Momoh averaged 19.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 6.0 blocks and 5.0 assists per game.
Across 15 gmes he scored 279 points, all inside the arc. He tallied 182 boards, 21 assists, 78 blocks and 15 steals. He had 13 double-doubles and two triple-doubles in high school, including a 28 point and 25 rebound night and a 30 point and 14 rebound showing.
"We are elated to welcome Abdul to the Central Connecticut basketball family," said Sellers. "He will bring dynamic athleticism and selfless team play to our program. Ab is young in the game and has an extremely high ceiling."
Momoh also had an offer from Lincoln University.
