UNCASVILLE – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced Tuesday the field of teams for the newly developed Basketball Hall of Fame Showcase on November 16 and 17 at Mohegan Sun Arena.

The two-day double header will feature Central Connecticut State University, North Carolina State, Oklahoma State, and UMass Lowell.

CCSu will play on the 16th against NC State and then again the following day against UMass Lowell.

"Mohegan Sun Arena is a fabulous venue where we're always happy to host collegiate teams and their fans from both near and far," said John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. "This two-day event will provide some great early season games ahead of the holiday season."

The Basketball Hall of Fame Showcase is part of a series of collegiate events that are helping to celebrate the game outside the museum walls. The Hall said it is proud to continue its relationship with Learfield IMG College, who will be sponsoring the event.

First-year head coach Patrick Sellers echoed a similar thought to playing in the event as Doleya. Sellers was named head coach of the Blue Devils in early may.

“It’s exciting for our program to be included in the Basketball Hall of Fame Showcase,” said Sellers. “It’s a great event held here in Connecticut and will provide our team with a chance to challenge themselves against some strong teams.”

Ticket information, game times and television broadcast details and will be released at a later date. As the health and safety of the athletes, fans and staff is of the utmost importance, the Basketball Hall of Fame will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely in the coming months and provide updates as needed.
