NEW BRITAIN - Junior quarterback Jacob Dolegala was named the Northeast Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this season earlier this week, after Dolegala and the Blue Devils went to Duquense on Saturday and came away with a 28-27 victory, their fifth NEC title and their first-ever trip to the FCS Playoffs.

The Blue Devils will finish the regular season today, hosting Robert Morris at noon at Arute Field.

Dolegala had a hand in all four touchdowns in the win. He threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran for two more in the victory for CCSU, their seventh straight. With the win CCSU is 7-3 overall and 5-0 in league play heading into the final weekend of the regular season.

CCSU women’s basketball junior team captain Kiana Patterson was named Player of the Week by the NEC on Monday, following opening weekend. The Blue Devils’ guard had 33 points in two games.
