STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Following two touchdowns and a field goal by both CCSU and Wagner, Seahawks quarterback Luke Massei was intercepted and the Blue Devils got the ball back with a chance to walk away with a win.

Jake Dolegala threw a 17-yard strike to Enyce Walker that set up CCSU in strong field position and Cameron Nash’s six-yard touchdown run ended the game in the fourth overtime as the Blue Devils won their fourth straight game on Saturday evening, 51-45.

With a 27-17 lead going into the fourth quarter, CCSU was in position to come away the win against Wagner.

Behind a 10-point fourth quarter, the Seahawks forced an overtime period.

Both teams struck for a touchdown in overtime to start it off.

After Wagner kicked a field goal in its second overtime possession, the Blue Devils got the ball back and a face mask penalty on Quintin Hampton set up CCSU with a first and 10 on the Seahawks’ 13-yard line.

Behind a pair of four-yard rushes and a one-yard rush, it was decision time for CCSU and the Blue Devils elected to kick the field goal on fourth and 1 on the Wagner 5-yard line.

Before CCSU kicker Frankie Palmer could get the field goal try off, the Seahawks called time out to ice him.

It didn’t bother Palmer, as he drilled the field goal from 22 yards out to tie it back up at 37.

CCSU got the ball back first for the third overtime period.

Dolegala had a 10-yard run to start the drive and followed that up with a 10-yard pass after a rush by Nash lost a yard and CCSU was set up with a third and 1 on the Wagner 6-yard line.

Nash got the handoff and scored to give the Blue Devils a 43-37 lead and they went for the two-point conversion, which was good on a pass from Dolegala to Jose Garcia.

Down eight points, Seahawks quarterback D’Erren Wilson made sure the game didn’t end there, as he threw a 26-yard touchdown strike to John Williams.

Wagner’s Luke Massei completed a two-point conversion pass to Willie Dale to tie it back up at 45.

After an interception of Massei, the Blue Devils got the ball back and Dolegala’s 17-yard pass to Walker set up CCSU in a good spot for the game-winning rushing touchdown by Nash.

The Blue Devils advanced to 4-3 on the season and will face 2-4 Bryant at home next Saturday.
