DURHAM, NH - The CCSU women’s basketball team dropped the final game of the non-conference portion of its schedule against New Hampshire 56-52 on Wednesday night.
The Blue Devils had their chances, as they led in the final five minutes of the game, but UNH scored the final 10 points to put the game away.
CCSU was led by Kiana Patterson, who had a team-high 14 points in the contest. Patterson was one of three Blue Devils in double-figures. Andi Lydon (13 points) and Giocelis Reynoso (10 points and 13 rebounds) were the two players joining Patterson.
CCSU shot just 37 percent from the floor, including 30 percent in the fourth, while New Hampshire shot 41 percent from the floor. After shooting 12.5 percent in the first quarter the Wildcats shot better than 46 percent in each subsequent quarter.
New Hampshire improves to 8-3 with the win, while CCSU drops to 1-10 with its eighth straight loss. Next up for the Blue Devils is their first NEC game and that will be a home game against Wagner on Dec. 29.
