BRISTOL – Bristol Hospital’s coronavirus numbers were in double digits on Wednesday.

The hospital reported treating 14 patients who have tested positive for the virus. One additional patient has been considered under investigation for potentially having the virus while awaiting test results.

The numbers released by Bristol Hospital on Wednesday come as the state has seen a decline in coronavirus hospitalizations over the past few weeks. Bristol Hospital earlier this month at one point reported treating 21 coronavirus patients and an additional three who were under investigation for having the virus.

Numbers released by state officials on Wednesday indicated statewide hospitalizations fell by 100, compared to the previous day’s data, leaving Connecticut with 1,346 coronavirus hospitalizations.

The state’s covid-19 positivity rate on Wednesday was 10.93%.
