BRISTOL – Tickets are on sale now for the Central CT Chambers of Commerce’s Regional Holiday Party and Small Business Awards Dec. 8 at DoubleTree by Hilton.

The event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 8 at the hotel at 42 Century Drive.

Cindy Bombard, president and CEO of the Central CT Chambers of Commerce, said due to covid restraints last year and uncertainty this year, the chamber decided to once again combine its holiday party with its Small Business Awards.

“What we’re finding is that after we’ve all been hunkered down this past year-and-a-half, people are really energized and have great going forward into 2022,” said Bombard.

The chamber will be honoring one small business from each of the communities that it serves - Cafe Real in Bristol, The Treasure Chest in Plymouth, Exit Realty Signature in Wolcott, Hogan's Cider Mill in Burlington and Interscape Commercial Environments in Farmington.

“The Treasure Chest is located right in downtown Plymouth and has a little bit of everything,” said Bombard. “And, in Bristol, we all love Café Real and the staff there whenever we stop in for coffee.”

Bombard also praised Hogan’s Cider Mill for “reinventing themselves” during the pandemic. Interscape Commercial Environments, she said, helped other businesses to adjust their office spaces to continue to function with covid precautions put into place.

In addition, the chamber will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for United Way of West Central Connecticut's Joy of Sharing Program.

Bombard said that she will miss Nuchie’s, where the Chamber’s holiday parties were held in past years.

“Dave Pasqualicchio and his team did amazing job,” she said. “Nuchie’s was our go-to spot for our holiday party for more years than I can remember. They had a great Italian spread and a quaint, cozy atmosphere.”

However, Bombard said DoubleTree provides “a great environment” and is a “true partner” with the chamber as well as many other area businesses.

“We’re looking forward to closing out 2021 and entering 2022 and doing it with a bang,” said Bombard.

Tickets are $45 for chamber members or $55 for non-members. Guests will be able to enjoy pasta, hors d'oeuvres, sliders, paninis, a mashed potato bar, desert and a drink ticket.
