Bristol Police identify victim of fatal Peck Lane crash

BRISTOL – Bristol Police have identified the victim of the fatal Peck Lane crash as Michael A Genovese Jr.

The car versus motorcycle accident occurred at approximately 5:46 p.m. Tuesday on Peck Lane at the intersection with Miller Road. The vehicles were traveling in opposing lanes when they collided at the intersection. Genovese Jr., born May 13, 1987, was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered life threatening injuries.

When officers arrived at the scene, they treated Genovese Jr. for his injuries. Life Star then arrived on the scene and transported him to Hartford Hospital. However, Genovese Jr. was pronounced dead a short time after his arrival.

The Bristol Police Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team, or S.T.A.R.T., was called in to investigate the accident. As of this time, the accident remains under investigation.

The Bristol Police Department is requesting that anyone who may have witnessed the collision contact officer Ryan Kosiba, who is the investigating officer for the case.
