BRISTOL -- Bristol Hospital saw another drop in coronavirus patients Wednesday.

After discharging a patient within the past 24 hours, the hospital reported being down to four patients who have tested positive for the virus. This comes after the facility saw a sharp decline over the weekend, going from 12 patients with covid-19 on Friday to just five on Monday, which remained steady on Tuesday.

No further patients under investigation were reported at Bristol Hospital Wednesday, and a death associated with the virus has not been reported at the hospital in nearly three weeks.

Statewide, coronavirus hospitalizations increased by nine compared to the day before, according to numbers released Wednesday. This brings the state’s total number of virus-related hospitalizations to 514.

Five more deaths linked to covid-19 were reported in Connecticut.
