BRISTOL – Since the Bristol public schools returned to in person learning this week, three people at Bristol Central High School and four at Greene-Hills K-8 School have tested positive for covid-19.
“The affected individuals have been instructed to remain home and quarantine,” Superintendent Catherine Carbone said. “Anyone who was considered a ‘close contact’ was contacted by the school or local health officials and provided with instructions on the appropriate steps to take. Enhanced cleaning procedures have been implemented throughout the building.”
Carbone had previously reported that a number of people in the school community had tested positive since the beginning of the year.
As of Jan. 19, kindergarten through grade six, plus grade nine, returned to in-person learning and grades seven, eight, 10, 11, and 12 resumed hybrid learning. Special education students in grades six through 12-plus also resumed their hybrid schedule.
