BRISTOL – The Public Works Department has published the schedule for the Transfer Station, trash, recycling, yard waste pick up during Thanksgiving week.
Trash, recycling, and yard waste collections that fall on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, will be collected on Friday, Nov. 27. Collections that typically fall on Friday, will be picked up on Saturday, Nov. 28. There will be no leaf pick up on these days, however leaf collection will resume on Monday, Nov. 30.
The Transfer Station hours for the week of Thanksgiving are as follows:
Thanksgiving Day-Closed.
Friday, Nov. 27 – 7:15 a.m. to – 2:45 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 28 – 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Mayor Ellen Zoppo-Sassu, who is also the chair of the Public Works Board, also announced that the yard waste and leaf bag collection has been extended through Friday, Dec. 4. Residents with Transfer Station passes may also bring their leaf bags directly to the transfer station should they miss the Dec. 4 deadline.
