BRISTOL – Bristol Hospital is still treating three patients with coronavirus after seeing a small spike in hospitalizations over the last few days.

The hospital had seen a nine-day stretch without a single patient who had tested positive for the virus. In the last two days, though, it has seen multiple admissions from patients with covid-19.

As of Wednesday, Bristol Hospital was treating three people with the virus. Those numbers went unchanged on Thursday, hospital officials reported.

The hospital did not have any patients under investigation - defined as someone showing signs consistent with coronavirus while awaiting test results - or deaths related to the virus to report Thursday.

Statewide, hospitalizations for coronavirus patients increased by seven on Thursday, with a total of 66 people in the hospital with the virus around Connecticut.
