BRISTOL – Hospital Spokesperson Chris Boyle said that coronavirus patients at Bristol Hospital decreased Saturday.

Boyle said that the hospital currently has two patients who have tested positive for the virus. There has been one discharge within the past 24 hours and zero deaths within the past 24 hours.

“Over the last few weeks, there definitely seems to be a decrease in the number of positive cases, which is great news,” said Boyle. “There is no doubt that the social distancing that the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) and the Governor have recommended are working.”

A total of 19 people have died from the coronavirus at Bristol Hospital since they began tracking deaths from the virus. The total number of coronavirus patients discharged from Bristol Hospital is now at 76. Boyle added that 43 samples were taken on Saturday.
