BRISTOL – The Bristol Swedish Social Club is having their 12th annual Clam Bake this Saturday, Sept. 14.

The clam bake will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. on the park-like grounds of the Bristol Swedish Social Club at 38 Barlow St. Both covered seating and open picnic tables are provided.

Event-goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs if they prefer a more relaxed seat to enjoy the music that will be featured on the outdoor stage. Food will be served hourly, beginning around 2 p.m. with freshly grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. Raw clams and steamed clams will be available shortly thereafter. To ensure visitors don’t go home hungry, a “Leg & Thigh” chicken dinner with assorted sides will follow around 4:30 p.m.

Complimentary draft beer will be served throughout the event and a cash bar will be available for various other adult beverages. Entertainment features rock band “Unfinished Business”, who will take the stage around 2 p.m. following local opening act, “Acoustic Howie” from the band “Rule 62”.

Games including horseshoes, corn-hole and ladder golf will be available as well. This is a kid-friendly event so people are welcome to bring the whole family.

Guests are asked not to bring dogs or any other pet to the event, with the exception of certified service and support animals.

Tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased in advance from club members and at the door on the day of the event. Children under 12 get in free.
