BRISTOL - Two people suffered minor injuries Tuesday afternoon when their vehicles collided into one another.
The two-car crash was reported at about 2:33 p.m. on Middle Street, near the Pine Street intersection. There, a Toyota Camry appeared to have struck the front, passenger side of a Volkswagen Passat. The airbags in the Passat caused a piece of the vehicle’s interior to strike the windshield, cracking it.
The drivers of both vehicles were evaluated at the scene by medics. They complained of minor injuries.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and had to be towed from the scene.
The crash initially closed the northbound side of Middle Street before police and firefighters directed motorists to use one lane.
