MILFORD - A Bristol teen was arrested Thursday in Milford after police there found him with 14 ounces of edible marijuana.

Police say Corey Burney, of 24 Trout Brook Road, Bristol, was stopped in a vehicle on the entrance to Interstate-95, near Exit 39, at about 1:50 a.m.

The stop was initiated by what police called an “equipment violation.”

Burney was charged with possession with intent to sell - a felony - and possession of marijuana after officers found him with more than half an ounce of traditional marijuana and 14 ounces of edible marijuana.

Police released a photo of the evidence, which included what appeared to be packaging materials and a digital scale.

Burney, who is free on a promise to appear, is scheduled to be arraigned in Milford Superior Court on July 31.
