BRISTOL - Firefighters made quick work of a small fire Thursday afternoon before it could do serious damage to a local home.
The fire, which was reported at 108 Pleasant View Ave. shortly before 2 p.m., was started in a pile of leaves near the one-story, single-family home. Deputy Fire Chief Mark Martin said the flames got in the area between the siding and the walls of the home. “It never reached the interior of the home,” he said, adding that it was quickly put out when firefighters arrived.
The one person who was home when the fire started made it out of the house with no issues.
No injuries were reported.
The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
