BRISTOL - Firefighters put out a blaze in the early morning hours Monday at a vacant home, where flames could be seen bursting out of a second floor window.

Emergency responders were called to 21 Frances St. at about 3 a.m., after a room in the rear of the home caught on fire. Firefighters put out the flames quickly.

No injuries were reported.

Although the fire damaged the home, no one was displaced because it was vacant.

The Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.

According to city records, the two-story, multi-family home was built in 1920. It has oil heat and vinyl siding.
