BRISTOL - A West Haven man has been charged with having an illegal relationship with a teenage Bristol girl.

Frank Pepe, 22, was arrested this week on one count of second-degree sexual assault: consent, no force or threat.

According to police, the allegations were reported to investigators by the Connecticut Department of Children and Families in October.

Pepe has been accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl in September, police said.

Citing a sealing order on the arrest warrant, put in place by a judge, police declined to comment further about the allegations.

Pepe, who is free on bond, is expected to be arraigned in Bristol Superior Court on Feb. 20.
