BRISTOL - Crews are working to repair an emergency water main break.

According to the Bristol Water Department, the break occurred on Park Street, between Divinity and Tulip streets. Motorists who normally travel this way have been asked to seek alternate routes.

Residents in the area may experience no water service, low water pressure or discolored water, according to the water department. Service will be off throughout the day.

There is no estimate as to how long the repairs will take, but crews will remain on scene until everything is fixed.

Once water service is restored, residents have been advised to run the water in a bathtub until it runs clear. They have also been warned not to do laundry while the water is discolored.

This is the seventh water main break in Bristol in the last month.
