Imagine Nation plans Martin Luther King Day weekend events

BRISTOL - Imagine Nation, A Museum Early Learning Center is hosting a variety of workshops and events over the weekend of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

On Jan. 13, Imagine Nation is hosting a Create Your Storybook Adventure for families from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation.

Children can enjoy book-readings with a variety of children’s authors including local author Donna LeBlanc, storytellers from the Bristol Public Library Children’s Department, and more.

Imagine Nation will then be honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 15, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Children will explore Dr. King’s visions while sharing their own visions and dreams and participating in a variety of special workshops. In one of the workshops, children can create their own signs of freedom and participate in a Peace March from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
