BRISTOL - Crews are working to repair a water main break near the Plainville town line.

According to the Bristol Water Department, crews are on the scene of a break on Constance Lane. Residents in this area should anticipate the water service being off throughout the day.

There is no estimate available as to how long the repair will take, but crews will remain working until everything is fixed. Residents in the surrounding area could experience no water service, low water pressure or discolored water.

Once the break is repaired, residents should run the water in a bathtub until it runs clear. Laundry should not be done with discolored water.

This is the sixth water main break reported in the city this month.
