BRISTOL - One person was taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after a two-crash in Forestville.

Shortly before 12:30 p.m., a Toyota Yaris and a Honda Civic collided at the intersection of Central and Washington streets. The crash caused the Civic to leave the roadway and take out a traffic control box.

The passenger in one of the vehicles was taken to an area hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

Both vehicles sustained heavy front end damage and had to be towed from the scene.

A worker from the city’s Traffic Division Maintenance unit responded to repair the traffic control box, as the traffic light did not work immediately after the crash. The box was completely taken off its base during the collision.
