Bristol police make arrest in 2016 shooting

BRISTOL – Police arrested a local man who was wanted in a 2016 shooting.

Keith Gainey, 28, of 187 Surrey Drive, was taken into custody after he was spotted by detectives in a vehicle on Pine Street Friday at around 9 p.m.

They were holding an arrest warrant charging him with attempted murder, first-degree reckless endangerment, first-degree assault and other offenses in connection with a July 2016 shooting that left a victim with several gunshot wounds. The victim survived.

He is being held on $750,000 bond until his arraignment in Bristol Superior Court Monday.
