BRISTOL - Police are investigating after a video of a fight at Rockwell Park surfaced on Facebook.

The video, which was still on YouTube as of Tuesday afternoon, shows a group of about six females arguing for several minutes before they begin attacking one another in the roundabout area of the parking lot.

The chaotic fight lasts all of about 40 seconds before it dies down.

Several females are seen swinging punches and slaps at one another. There is also what appears to be a male who gets involved in the fight and takes a couple of swings at a female.

The video, which is a little longer than five minutes and was uploaded online Monday, reportedly surfaced on the popular, closed Facebook group “Bristol Talks.” It is unclear if it has been removed from the group page.

Police on Tuesday said they were made aware of the video and began investigating. They said the fight broke out at about 6:45 p.m.

Police are asking that anyone with information about the incident call them at 860-584-3000.

According to Mayor Ken Cockayne, several people have come forward and identified the individuals involved in the fight. He said the incident is not being taken lightly, and that charges could be filed.

“This will not be tolerated,” Cockayne said.

The mayor called the individuals involved “troublemakers” and said it appears like multiple “mothers egging their kids on.”
