MERIDEN - Hoping to move to the .500 mark on the season, the Bristol Eastern girls soccer team left no doubt of accomplishing that goal on Monday afternoon against Platt.

Ciara Collins dominated with two goals and two assists to lead the Lancers to an 8-0 win over the winless Panthers, improving their record to 5-5-2 on the year. Collins scored twice in one minute early in the first half to set the tone for the rout.

Lili Morneault pitched in two goals of her own, while Emily Nelson, Breanna Nelson, Leah Policarpio and Taigan Parent accounted for the other tallies. The relentless Eastern attack converted on eight of the nine shots it put on net.
