BRISTOL - The Bristol Eastern girls soccer team won the CCC South Patriot division with a 0-0 tie against Plainville at home on Wednesday night.

Goalkeeper Ava Gilbert made five saves for Bristol Eastern (7-6-3), while Caitlin Barker had 13 for Plainville.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

St. Paul 3, Terryville 1: The Falcons picked up a 19-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-16 victory over the Kangaroos.

Leading the way for St. Paul were Kelsi Blatchley (10 kills, 5 aces), Rebecca Nerbonne (4 kills, 1 block) and Grace Carabetta (25 digs).

Standouts for Terryville (9-9) were Lauren Jacobs (6 kills, 6 digs, 10 blocks), Cara Andrews (4 kills, 13 digs, 1 assist) and Hailey Marin (6 kills, 3 digs, 2 aces, 15 assists).
