Sports Roundup: Bristol Central softball beats Rocky Hill

ROCKY HILL - The Bristol Central softball team had a strong day all around in its 9-4 win over Rocky Hill on the road Friday afternoon.

Gwen Toresso ripped a pair of doubles and Peyton Greger also had a double. As a team the Rams had 12 hits.

Greger started on the mound and earned the win.

With the victory Bristol Central moves to 6-8.


Rocky Hill 6, Bristol Eastern 1: The Lancers could only get one win, which came at the No. 3 doubles spot. Tina Guo and Leah Mastroianni picked up the win in straight sets.

Bristol Eastern fell to 2-8 as a team with the loss.

Wethersfield 5, Bristol Central 2: The Goralski twins were the only players to pick up wins for the Rams.

Abby Goralski (No. 1 singles) defeated her opponent Paige Contenta in three sets and Alex Goralski (No. 3 singles) also won in three sets against Lily Gount.


Conard 10, Bristol Central 5: Alec DiLoreto’s five hits weren’t enough as Conard topped the Rams in eight innings. Robert Bibisi was charged with the loss for Bristol Central. With it the Rams fell to 4-8 on the year.
