BRISTOL — The Bristol boys co-op boys swim team had a strong showing at the CCC meet on Saturday with 216 points in third place, including five winning five events on the day.
Middletown placed first with 318 points and Berlin was second with 310.5 points.
In the 200 medley relay, Gabe Bartolome, Colton Litwinczyk, Keagan Mullan and Josh Mitchell placed second.
Litwinczyk was second place in both the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke.
Bartolome was an all-conference winner in the 100 backstroke.
Mullan placed first in the 50 freestyle.
“I am very proud of how they swam today,” Bristol head coach Nick Daddabbo said. “We had close to 90 percent best times today. We had several kids with huge drops in time today both in the top heats and other heats as well. That is what we as a coaching staff love to see at this point in the season. Everyone showed up to the meet today and swam their hearts out. They all knew that this was the meet that they had to swim hard in and get that last chance to qualify into states.”
