MERIDEN - Seby Rutkowski led the way for the Bristol co-op boys divers in the CCC South conference diving.

Rutkowski placed sixth with 163.95 points and qualified for Class LL states.

"Seby now has to perfect a few dives now that he is qualified for LL diving states," Bristol head coach Nick Daddabbo said. "He now needs an 11 dive list with a higher degree of difficulty to score well. He does have the ability to compete and perform well at this meet.

Seby has never dove competitively before the start of the season. He has worked hard to get where he is and has earned a spot in the state meet. Coach Phelan and Seby will have the board to practice as many dives as they need help him perform to his best capability. Aly and Seby have worked really well together and have worked on his technique all season and qualifying for the state meet shows this hard work and focus."

Also diving for Bristol was Josh Mitchell (eighth place), Anthony Fasci (ninth place) and Brian Collins (11th place).
